BATAVIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A 28-year-old driver died in a crash in Clermont County on Thursday morning. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred around 8 a.m. on State Route 222.

A preliminary investigation indicates the driver, identified as Dillon Lindsey, was traveling north when he failed to navigate a curve, veered off the right side of the road, and struck a tree. Lindsey, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
