MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Miami Township’s annual Harvest Festival and Community Bonfire returns to Community Park from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, with a free pumpkin patch, hayrides, a trick-or-treat trail and live music, the township said in a Facebook post.
The community bonfire runs from 6 to 9 p.m., with music from the band Counting Skeletons. Neltner’s Farm is providing one free pumpkin per child while supplies last, and the Clermont County Public Library will hold story time during the event. Inside the historic Leming House, visitors can get their faces painted, make balloon creations and do harvest crafts. The festival also features hayrides, a wildlife-rehabilitation display from Secret Squirrel Wildlife Rehabilitation, glow items from Let’s Glow Crazy and a performance from Cincinnati Circus Company.
Food and drink vendors will include D’s Concessions, Old Man and a Grill, Squeezy Fresh, Kona Ice of East Cincinnati and Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee, with adult beverages sold by the Milford Miami Township Chamber of Commerce. The event is sponsored by A Step Above Flooring & Installation.
Community Park sits on 17 acres along Buckwheat Road and includes picnic areas, a playground, walking trails, tennis and pickleball courts, a sand volleyball court and a nine-hole disc golf course, according to the township. Its Performance Pavilion and amphitheater also host the township’s Summer Concert Series. The park’s Leming House was built around 1840 by settler Randall Leming and now serves as an indoor event space reflecting the township’s 19th-century rural history.
Admission to the Harvest Festival is free. Township officials said the event draws support from local businesses, schools, churches and civic groups, along with the Miami Township fire, police, service and recreation departments.
