BATAVIA, Ohio — The Clermont County Park District is launching its first holiday craft market at Pattison Lodge this fall, and it’s now accepting applications from local vendors who want a table.
The inaugural Handmakers’ Holly & Hearth Market will run from noon to 7 p.m. Nov. 15 at Pattison Lodge, 2228 U.S. 50 in Batavia, the park district said in a Facebook post. Admission is free.
The market will bring together local makers, artisans, bakers and growers selling handmade goods, holiday décor and gifts in both indoor and outdoor spaces on the lodge grounds, according to the park district. Organizers are billing it as the start of a new holiday tradition for the county.
Vendor spaces cost $50, with both indoor and outdoor spots available. The park district is accepting applications through its website through Oct. 19.
Pattison Lodge sits inside the roughly 45-acre Pattison Park, which the park district has operated since 1972, when Aletheia Pattison — daughter of former Ohio Gov. John M. Pattison — donated 24 acres of land she had inherited. She added 18 more acres in 1975, including the cabin and lodge that anchor the park today. The lodge, since expanded with a gazebo and patio, has become one of the county’s most-booked event venues.
