GOSHEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Goshen Local Schools has introduced Caleb Vanden Eynden as the new principal of Goshen High School, the district announced in a video posted to its Facebook page.
The district described Vanden Eynden as “an accomplished educator, musician and … Lego enthusiast” in the post, which also featured him explaining how to pronounce his last name.
Vanden Eynden succeeds Stephanie Walker, who led Goshen High School for eight years before moving into a new role as the district’s director of student services beginning Aug. 1. Walker’s move followed the retirement of longtime director Tom Turner, according to the district. The student services department oversees special education, gifted education, English as a Second Language programming, state testing and student discipline for Goshen Local Schools.
Walker holds a master’s degree in educational administration from Xavier University and a bachelor’s degree in special education from Eastern Kentucky University.
Vanden Eynden most recently served as an assistant principal at Tower Heights Middle School in the Centerville City School District. He previously worked as a high school assistant principal and started his career as a K-12 music teacher, including a stint at Oakwood City Schools. He holds a master’s degree in education from the University of Dayton.
