BATAVIA, Ohio — The Batavia Police Department has postponed its Movie Night event that had been scheduled for Aug. 14, citing low sign-up numbers, the department said in a Facebook post.
The department said it will announce a new date and time this fall once plans are finalized.
Movie Night is one of several community engagement events the department has organized in recent years alongside its annual National Night Out gathering, which the department has held at the Batavia Township Community Center with free food and activities for children. The police department, led by Chief Eric Williams, is based at 65 N. Second St. in Batavia.
