BATAVIA, Ohio — Clermont County officials unveiled a new Economic Development Strategic Plan during the Sept. 30 Board of County Commissioners meeting, capping nearly a year of work aimed at steering the county’s growth over the coming years.
Kris McClintick, director of Clermont County Community and Economic Development, presented the plan alongside Emil Liszniansky, a principal with Envision Group, and Tom Moeller, the firm’s director of public finance, according to a county social media post.

The plan was shaped over nearly a year with input from county staff, local governments, stakeholders and Envision Group, the county said in the post.
It identifies six primary focus areas: target industries, site readiness and major capital projects, development finance, public-private partnerships, workforce development and business growth. Supporting priorities include community development, support for local governments and improved coordination between county departments, according to the county.
County officials said the plan provides a roadmap for short-, medium- and long-term efforts as Clermont County works with local communities and partners to prepare for future investment, jobs and growth.
Envision Group is a multidisciplinary consulting firm with offices in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and Washington, D.C., that advises public- and private-sector clients on strategic planning, infrastructure, economic development, and funding and policy issues, according to the firm.
