BETHEL, Ohio — East Fork State Park is closing a boat ramp on William H. Harsha Lake for two days this week so crews can make emergency repairs, the park said in a Facebook post.
The Reisinger Road ramp, also known locally as the Bethel ramp, will be closed starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, through 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, according to the park. The park apologized for the inconvenience and did not specify the nature of the repairs.
The ramp sits on the south side of the lake on Reisinger Road north of Bethel and is one of eight boat ramps around the lake maintained by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, which operates the park. Boaters can use the park’s other ramps while the Reisinger ramp is closed.
East Fork State Park spans 4,870 acres in Clermont County and surrounds the 2,160-acre William H. Harsha Lake, formed by an earthen dam operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The park, established in 1978, draws anglers, boaters and campers from across the region and has hosted youth and collegiate rowing competitions on the lake.
