BATAVIA, Ohio — East Fork State Park will close a boat ramp inside its campground for most of next week so crews can make emergency repairs, the park said in a Facebook post.
The Campground Ramp will close at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, and reopen by 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, weather permitting, according to the park. The park did not detail the nature of the repairs and apologized for the inconvenience.
The ramp sits on the north side of William H. Harsha Lake inside the park’s 416-site campground off Old State Route 32, one of two boat launches that serve campers in that area. Boaters can use the park’s other ramps around the lake while the Campground Ramp is closed.
The closure is the second at East Fork in about a week. The park closed its Reisinger Road ramp, near Bethel on the lake’s south side, earlier this week for separate emergency repairs.
East Fork State Park spans 4,870 acres in Clermont County, about 20 miles southeast of Cincinnati, and surrounds Harsha Lake, formed by an earthen dam the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers built when the park opened in 1978. The park draws anglers, boaters and campers from across the region.
