FELICITY, Ohio — Felicity-Franklin Jr./Sr. High School is reminding students and families of morning arrival and tardy procedures as the district’s Aug. 20 first day of school approaches, according to a post from the district.
Students will be allowed to enter the building at 7:15 a.m., with breakfast served until 7:28 a.m., the district said. Students must be in their classroom by 7:30 a.m. each morning; anyone arriving after that time will be required to report to the office rather than heading directly to class, according to the post.
The school will also shift to a new bell schedule this fall. Starting the week of Sept. 14, Felicity-Franklin will begin using a Tuesday-Thursday advisory period as part of its regular schedule, the district said. Full bell schedules for the year are posted on the district’s Facebook page.
The reminder comes as the district’s school year is already getting underway in stages. Juniors and seniors who attend Grant Career Center in Bethel returned to class Aug. 12 and Aug. 13, ahead of the district’s official first day, Felicity-Franklin Local School District said in an earlier announcement. Regular transportation to and from Felicity-Franklin High School resumes with the Aug. 20 start date.
Felicity-Franklin Local School District serves the village of Felicity and surrounding areas in southern Clermont County. Its teams compete as the Fighting Cardinals in the Southern Buckeye Athletic/Academic Conference. Robert Walker serves as district superintendent, and Casey Smith is principal of Felicity-Franklin Jr./Sr. High School, according to school records.
