GOSHEN, Ohio — Goshen High School has been awarded a $320,000 state grant to launch a new manufacturing career-tech program, the district announced.
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce awarded the Career-Technical Education Access Grant in July, according to the district. Goshen was one of only 10 school districts statewide to receive the funding.
The grant will fund a new manufacturing career-tech program based at Goshen High School, developed in partnership with the U.S. Grant Career Center in Bethel and the Advanced Manufacturing Industry Partnership, an organization that connects manufacturing employers, schools and community groups, the district said.
The program is scheduled to launch for the 2027-28 school year. The 2026-27 school year will be used for planning and development, with grant funds going toward training instructors, designing curriculum and outfitting a manufacturing lab with classroom tools and industrial machinery ahead of the launch, according to the district.
Pat Dubbs, director of Goshen’s college and career readiness program, said in a statement he was pleased to receive the grant.
“This funding will open up a myriad of job training opportunities for our Goshen students,” Dubbs said. “As we grow the program, it is our hope that this will become a training hub for any young person in Clermont County who is interested in the manufacturing trades.”
