GOSHEN, Ohio — Goshen Local Schools will kick off this year’s Family Wellness Series on Oct. 15 with a free session focused on helping parents navigate their children’s use of technology, the district said in a Facebook post.
The session, titled “Parenting in the Digital Age,” is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Goshen High School. The district said free dinner and childcare will be provided for families who attend.
According to the district, the program will address how technology use can affect children’s sleep, physical activity and relationships, and will offer parents strategies for setting healthy boundaries around phones, social media and other devices.
The series is presented by 1N5, a Cincinnati-based nonprofit that provides youth mental health and suicide-prevention education to schools across southwest Ohio. The organization, founded in 2010, works with more than 300 public and private schools in 11 counties, according to its published mission.
Families interested in attending can RSVP through a link the district shared on its Facebook page.
Brian Bailey has served as superintendent of Goshen Local Schools since 2023, after 12 years as the district’s assistant superintendent.
