BATAVIA, Ohio — Fire, EMS and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a crash between a car and a motorcycle near Sycamore Park on State Route 132 shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday, according to initial emergency radio traffic monitored by the Clermont Guardian.
Crews were dispatched to State Route 132 near Foundry Avenue and Grandview Lane for a report of a vehicle versus motorcycle crash, radio traffic indicated. A unit on scene reported two vehicles involved and the motorcycle rider down on the ground, according to radio traffic. Clermont County fire and EMS units, including Engine 10, Medic 10, Engine 11 and Medic 40, were sent to the scene along with Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers.
Radio traffic indicated the rider was reported to have briefly lost consciousness and had an open wound to the right knee along with complaints of neck pain. The patient was placed on a backboard and prepared for transport, according to radio traffic.
State Route 132 was shut down in the area around 11:10 a.m. while crews worked the scene, radio traffic indicated, and at least one ambulance crew was advised to detour by way of State Route 32 because of the closure.
