JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Visitors carried in arrowheads, fossils and stone tools from their own backyards Saturday for a chance to have them identified by regional experts during a Native American artifact evaluation at the Clermont County Park District’s Hartman Cabin.

The event, held in partnership with the Clermont County Historical Society, opened with a presentation by speaker Dave Uhlman on prehistoric life in Clermont County, the park district said in a Facebook post. Afterward, Uhlman and a team of specialists from the Archaeological Research Institute set up examination tables to help guests identify the artifacts, fossils and rocks they brought from home.
