WILLIAMSBURG, Ohio — Williamsburg Local Schools will hold its Homecoming Parade at 5:30 p.m. Friday, and the district is asking parade participants and parents to follow a specific route to keep the event moving safely.
The parade will begin at Williamsburg Park and travel through town before ending at Williamsburg Middle/High School, the district said in a Facebook post.
Homecoming Court members and Spirit Board entries should use the school entrance closest to town, according to the district. All other floats and trailers are directed to use the next entrance and park in the bus lanes.
After the parade, parents picking up youth participants must drive through the bus-lane loop and exit rather than parking, the district said. Parents are asked to remain in their vehicles while trailer drivers and coaches help children reach them.
Williamsburg Middle/High School, home to the Wildcats, sits at 500 South 5th St. and is the only secondary school in the Williamsburg Local School District, serving roughly 600 students in grades six through 12. The school’s colors are blue and white.
