WILLIAMSBURG TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A fallen tree closed a stretch of Concord-Hennings Mill Road on Tuesday, according to the Clermont County Engineer’s Office.
The road is blocked at 3524 Concord-Hennings Mill Road, the engineer’s office said in a Facebook post. Crews were sent to clear the tree and reopen the roadway, and the office asked drivers to avoid the area until the work is finished.
Concord-Hennings Mill Road runs through the unincorporated Concord and Hennings Mill communities in Williamsburg Township, linking rural properties in the county’s east-central section. Hennings Mill takes its name from J.N. Henning, the settlement’s first postmaster and the proprietor of its mill; the community had its own post office from 1857 to 1907.
The Clermont County Engineer’s Office, led by County Engineer Jeremy P. Evans since 2019, maintains roads and bridges across the county’s unincorporated areas, including pothole repair, resurfacing, ditching and storm cleanup.
