GOSHEN, Ohio — Goshen Local Schools will hold open houses this evening at three of its buildings, a day after severe weather forced the district to postpone the events.
Goshen Middle School’s open house runs from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, the district said in a Facebook post. Spaulding Elementary will split its open house by last name, with students whose last names begin with A through M welcomed from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and N through Z from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Marr/Cook Elementary will welcome last names A through M from 5:30 to 6 p.m. and N through Z from 6 to 6:30 p.m.
The district asked families for patience navigating the Goshen campus, which it expects to be crowded, and said it will continue monitoring the weather throughout the day and communicate any changes.
The open houses were originally scheduled for Tuesday but were postponed because of weather, according to the district’s Facebook post.
Marr/Cook Elementary serves the district’s youngest students and traces its combined name to two separate buildings: Marr Primary, built in 1954 to relieve overcrowding, and Cook Elementary, which opened in 1968. The two were later merged into a single elementary building under the Marr/Cook name.
Goshen Local Schools, led by Superintendent Brian Bailey, serves parts of Clermont and Warren counties and enrolled about 2,742 students across its schools as of 2024, according to public school enrollment data.
