MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Miami Township police are asking residents to restock a food pantry in the lobby of their headquarters, saying donations have run low for community members who rely on it.

The department said in a Facebook post Thursday that its “modest” pantry is most in need of pastas, baby food, canned fruits, canned vegetables, canned soups, peanut butter and cereal. Donations can be dropped off around the clock at the police station, 5900 McPicken Drive, according to the department.

The pantry runs on the honor system and is available 24 hours a day to any community member, the department said, with no requirements to receive food. “Take what you need, leave what you can,” the department said in its post.
