UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The West Clermont High School Homecoming Parade will go on as scheduled Friday, with drop-offs beginning at 4 p.m. at Mount Carmel Christian Church and the procession stepping off at 5 p.m., the district said in a Facebook post.
The church sits on Bach Buxton Road just east of the high school campus, which the West Clermont Local School District lists at 4101 Bach Buxton Road. The district used the hashtag “WCStrong” in announcing the parade, the same tag it has used throughout the fall for Homecoming week activities.
West Clermont High School opened in August 2017 as the district’s single comprehensive high school, formed by consolidating the former Amelia High School and Glen Este High School into one building in Union Township. The school enrolls roughly 2,170 students and competes as the Wolves in navy blue and gray within the Eastern Cincinnati Conference.
The West Clermont Local School District serves Union Township and surrounding communities west of Batavia, encompassing the former Amelia and Glen Este school systems that consolidated to form the unified district.
