UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio — West Clermont Local Schools will hold Open House events at all nine of its school buildings over the next two weeks, giving families a first look at classrooms and teachers before the district’s staggered start to the 2026-27 school year, the district said in a social media post.
Each building has set its own date and time, according to a schedule the district released this week. On Wednesday, Aug. 12, Amelia Elementary and Holly Hill Elementary will hold Open House from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Willowville Elementary, also meeting that day, is splitting its event by last name, with students A through M attending from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and N through Z from 6 to 8 p.m. Withamsville-Tobasco Elementary, known in the district as WT Elementary, follows a similar split on Aug. 12, with A through M from 4 to 5:15 p.m. and N through Z from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.

The following day, Thursday, Aug. 13, Clough Pike Elementary and West Clermont Middle School hold Open House from 4 to 7:30 p.m., while Merwin Elementary’s runs from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Summerside Elementary splits its schedule by grade that day, with kindergarten families invited from 4 to 6 p.m. and preschool through fifth grade from 4 to 7:30 p.m.
West Clermont High School holds its Open House from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17. Holly Hill Elementary’s preschool program has its own Open House from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20 — the same day all West Clermont students return to class together.
The district said families can find additional back-to-school information, including registration details, through a QR code included in its announcement.
West Clermont Local Schools enrolls more than 8,000 students across a 54-square-mile area that includes Union Township and portions of Batavia, Monroe and Pierce townships, making it one of the larger school systems in the Cincinnati region. The district was formed when Amelia and Glen Este high schools merged in 2017 to create West Clermont High School, consolidating what had been two separate secondary systems. Dr. David Fultz, who spent eight years as the district’s assistant superintendent before his appointment, became superintendent in August 2025.
Classes for the 2026-27 year begin in stages: sixth- and ninth-graders, along with elementary students whose last names begin with A through M, start Tuesday, Aug. 18; seventh-, eighth-, 10th-, 11th- and 12th-graders and elementary students N through Z start Wednesday, Aug. 19; and all students attend together beginning Thursday, Aug. 20.
