UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Clermont County Public Library will host its annual pop-culture celebration, LibrariCon, on Friday, Nov. 6, offering a free evening of cosplay, crafts and an escape room for fans of fandoms of all kinds at its Union Township branch.
The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at the branch, 4450 Glen Este-Withamsville Road, and is free and open to the public, according to the library. Activities include cosplay, crafts, an escape room and prizes, the library said in its announcement.
LibrariCon has become a recurring fall tradition at the branch, drawing costumed fans of comics, movies, games and other fandoms in past years for an evening built around the pop-culture community rather than the library’s usual book-centered programming.
The Union Township branch, located off Glen Este-Withamsville Road, is open Monday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the library. The branch also offers a meeting room, 3D printing and other maker-space resources for patrons.
The library describes its broader mission as working “to foster lifelong learning by providing resources that inform, programs that engage, and ideas that inspire,” extending beyond traditional book lending to hands-on and community-oriented programs like LibrariCon.
