UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Trick-or-treaters across Union Township can go door to door from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, with uniformed officers and firefighters joining in the rounds through several neighborhoods, the township said.
The Union Township Police Department and Union Township Fire Department, Clermont County, Ohio, plan to be out during the two-hour window, handing out candy alongside residents, according to a post from the township on Facebook.

The police department traces back to 1965, when it started with a single part-time officer. It has since grown into a 60-member, internationally accredited agency serving the township under Police Chief Anthony Rees.
The township’s fire department staffs six stations around the clock with full-time, cross-trained firefighters and paramedics, led by Fire Chief Austin Clements.
Union Township is governed by a three-member Board of Trustees — Joe Dills, John Becker and Michael Logue — who are elected to four-year terms.
