CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio — Clermont County Public Library will hold used book sales at two of its branches over the next two weeks, part of a countywide sale program that also keeps discounted, donated books available year-round.
The Miami Township Branch, at 5920 Buckwheat Road in Milford, will hold its sale July 23-25. The Union Township Branch, at 4450 Glen Este-Withamsville Road, will hold its sale July 27 through Aug. 1, the library said in a Facebook post.
Beyond the two scheduled sales, the library said every branch also maintains a smaller, permanent used-book sale on site year-round — books displayed on shelves at some locations, such as the Goshen Branch, and stacked on carts at others, such as Miami Township.
Clermont County voters approved creation of the library system in 1948, and a seven-member board of trustees was appointed the following year. Library service began in 1955, funded initially through a local tax on personal property such as stocks and bonds. The Milford Branch opened in 1959 as the system’s first walk-in location, and the library later expanded to reach more of the county, including the Goshen Branch, which opened Oct. 29, 1989.
