MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Miami Township Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting Tuesday for leadership skills training with township staff, according to a notice posted by the township.
The session is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Oasis Conference Center, 902 Loveland-Miamiville Road in Loveland, the township said. The stated purpose of the meeting is “conducting leadership skills training with the Township Trustees and various staff.”
Ohio’s open meetings law requires public bodies such as township boards to give advance public notice of special meetings, including where and why they are held, since business conducted outside a board’s regular schedule must still be open to residents.
Miami Township is governed by a three-member Board of Trustees — Mary Makley Wolff, Kendal A. Tracy and Mark C. Schulte — along with Fiscal Officer Eric C. Ferry, according to the township. Trustees are elected to staggered four-year terms. The board’s regular meetings are held at the Miami Township Civic Center, 6101 Meijer Drive in Milford, with work sessions on the second Monday of each month and business meetings on the third Tuesday, both starting at 7 p.m.
