UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Village Glen Drive will close at its intersection with Tealtown Road for two days next week so crews can finish drainage improvements, the Clermont County Engineer’s Office said.
The closure is scheduled for Aug. 11 and Aug. 12, with work each day running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the engineer’s office. Village Glen Drive will be shut down at the Tealtown Road intersection while crews complete the drainage work there; traffic on Tealtown Road itself will stay open, maintained by flaggers as needed throughout the project, the office said.
Drivers will be directed to follow posted detour signs around the closed intersection, along a route spanning about 1.08 miles, or 5,727 feet, the engineer’s office said. West Clermont Local School District was notified of the closure, according to the office.
The Clermont County Engineer’s Office is responsible for 385 miles of county roads and bridges, along with traffic studies, signal design and right-of-way work across the county, according to the office. The department resurfaced 36 miles of county roads in 2025, part of a five-year effort that has repaved 178 miles — nearly half of the county’s road mileage.
Village Glen Drive runs through Union Township, Clermont County’s most populous township, with about 49,639 residents as of the 2020 census. The township sits at the convergence of state Route 32 and Interstate 275, making it a center of population and commercial growth in the county’s eastern half.
