BATAVIA, Ohio — Deputies were dispatched to the 6600 block of State Route 132 shortly after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday after a caller reported that a person fired a handgun three to four times into the ground during a dispute, according to initial emergency radio traffic.
According to the radio traffic, two people were involved in an argument at the location when one of them went back inside a residence before returning outside with a gun and firing it into the ground several times.
The caller reportedly declined to give a name to dispatchers or file a formal report, according to the radio traffic.
There was no immediate word on any injuries, arrests or additional response, based on the radio traffic monitored by the Clermont Guardian.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
