BATAVIA, Ohio — The Village of Batavia canceled Tuesday night’s Music on Main concert at 65 N. Second St., citing forecasts that showed a risk of severe weather moving through the area in the evening.
The village said in a Facebook post that it made the call in the afternoon, ahead of the show’s evening start time, because of the combination of live electrical equipment, an outdoor stage and families expected to attend.
Tuesday’s show was set to feature the band D.R. Inc, billed as “Dad Rock Incoming,” according to a promotional photo the village posted alongside the cancellation notice. Music on Main is a free outdoor concert series the village hosts in downtown Batavia.
Village officials said they would post a rescheduled date on the village’s Facebook page once one is set.
