BATAVIA, Ohio — Clermont County commissioners are set to award a $2.3 million contract for a water main replacement project in Batavia Township and consider a federal grant for the county’s drug unit when they meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16.

The board is expected to award a contract to Ford Development Corp. of Cincinnati for the Amelia Olive Branch Road Water Main Replacement Project, according to the county’s draft agenda. Commissioners will consider approving the $2,263,032 bid, which the Water Resources Department identified as the lowest and best offer received Aug. 20.

Also on the agenda, the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office is seeking approval to accept a $68,505 subgrant from the Ohio Department of Public Safety for the county’s drug unit, funded through the U.S. Department of Justice’s Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program. The grant would require a $22,835 cash match from the county’s 2026 appropriations, according to the agenda.
