STONELICK TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A crash on Newtonsville-Hutchinson Road snapped a utility pole and brought down power lines July 24, closing the roadway between Yeager Road and Cedar Trace Golf Club, the Stonelick Township Fire Department said in a Facebook post.
The department said the crash caused no injuries. Duke Energy was notified to respond to the downed lines, and the department said the road was expected to remain closed “for some time.”

Cedar Trace Golf Club, an 18-hole course at 5466 Newtonsville-Hutchinson Road in Batavia, sits along the closed stretch of roadway in the northern part of Stonelick Township.

Stonelick Township Fire & Rescue was formed in 2006 out of the former Owensville Fire Department and provides 24-hour fire and paramedic coverage from two stations — its headquarters on U.S. 50 in Batavia and a second station on Stonelick-Williams Corner Road, according to the department.
