GOSHEN, Ohio — The Goshen Chamber of Commerce will hold its 22nd annual Light Up Goshen parade on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 5 p.m., featuring floats, antique tractors and a surprise guest, Goshen Local Schools said in a social media post.
The parade route runs from Spaulding Elementary School down Linton Road to Ohio 28, then onto Goshen Road before ending at Goshen High School and Cook Cabin, according to the post. More information is available through the chamber’s website.
The Goshen Chamber of Commerce, based on South Main Street in Goshen, promotes local businesses and organizes community events throughout the year in Goshen Township, a roughly 34-square-mile community in northern Clermont County with a population of about 16,000, according to U.S. Census figures.
Goshen Local Schools, which serves the township, includes four buildings — Spaulding and Marr/Cook elementary schools, Goshen Middle School and Goshen High School — enrolling more than 2,700 students. The district’s campus along Goshen Road, which includes Cook Cabin, has long served as a gathering point for community events, including the holiday parade’s finish line.
Light-up parades have become a seasonal tradition in communities across the region, typically combining decorated floats and vehicles with early holiday festivities to draw residents downtown before Thanksgiving.
