BETHEL, Ohio — Village-wide yard sales return to Bethel for two more weekends before the year is out, with dates set for Aug. 7-9 and Sept. 4-6, according to a post from the village.
The two weekends close out a five-weekend schedule the village designated for 2026, which also included May 1-3, June 5-7 and July 3-5, the village said.
No permit is required for a yard sale held during one of the five designated weekends, the village said. Residents who want to hold a sale on a different weekend can still do so by purchasing a $5 weekend yard sale permit at the Village of Bethel Utilities Office, 120 North Main St., according to the post.
Bethel is a village of about 2,660 residents in Tate Township, according to U.S. Census figures. The village has operated a post office continuously since 1815 and was originally platted as Plainfield in 1798 before being replatted under its current name four years later.
