BATAVIA, Ohio — The Clermont County Historical Society will host a free concert by the Williamsburg Community Band on Saturday evening at the Armory, the organization’s headquarters in downtown Batavia.
The concert is set for 7 p.m. July 25 at the Armory, 65 N. Second St., the historical society said in a Facebook post. The band’s program includes patriotic standards such as “Fanfare for the Common Man,” “America, the Beautiful,” “The Armed Services Medley,” “God Bless America” and “Stars and Stripes Forever,” according to the group’s event announcement.
The historical society, which has preserved county records, photographs and artifacts since 1958, recently relocated its headquarters to the Armory building, according to an announcement on the organization’s website. The society described the move as an expansion of its efforts to make its collections accessible to the public.
The concert falls during the nation’s Semiquincentennial, the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The National Park Service and the White House are marking the milestone with a yearlong series of commemorations running through the end of 2026.
Saturday’s concert is one of several public programs the historical society has scheduled this year, including an Aug. 15 presentation on Revolutionary War veterans and an Oct. 3 violin concert, according to the organization’s website.
