NEW RICHMOND, Ohio — The village of New Richmond will celebrate the completion of its $13.4 million Liberty Landing riverfront redevelopment with a grand opening ceremony at 1 p.m. Friday.
The dedication will include remarks from Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik, Clermont County Commissioner David Painter, state Rep. Adam Bird and New Richmond Mayor Glen Ewing, according to the county.

The project, in the southern-most part of Clermont County, widened Front Street by about 25 feet to create an elevated streetscape with sweeping views of the Ohio River, along with a new marina, the county said. A brick plaza anchors the site, marked by an arched overhead metal sign reading “New Richmond Liberty Landing Est. 1814” in the heart of the village’s retail district.
Other additions include decorative streetlights with coordinated black metal railing, a landscaped median with trees and grass, round metal tables with attached seating under gold sunshade umbrellas, and black metal park benches, according to the release.

The project was funded through the State of Ohio’s Appalachian Community Grant Program, the county said. Cincinnati-based Prus Construction served as general contractor, and Cincinnati-based KZF Design was the architectural consultant.
