WILLIAMSBURG, Ohio — Williamsburg Local School District has earned a 5-star overall rating on the 2025-26 Ohio School Report Card, the highest mark a district can receive, after four straight years stuck at 4.5 stars, the district said in a Facebook post.

“A 5-star rating is the highest possible mark a district can receive, signifying that Williamsburg significantly exceeds state standards,” the district said in its announcement, crediting students, staff and families.

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce’s report card rates districts and school buildings on a 1-to-5-star scale across six components: achievement, progress, gap closing, early literacy, graduation, and college, career, workforce and military readiness. A 3-star rating means a district meets state standards; 5 stars means it significantly exceeds them, according to the department.
