BATAVIA, Ohio — The Village of Batavia will close downtown streets three separate times this fall for a Fun Fair, a car show and a Veterans Day parade, though the village cautioned that all three schedules remain tentative.
The Fun Fair is scheduled to run from 6 to 10 p.m. Sept. 12, with the street closure beginning at 4 p.m., according to a post from the village. A car show follows on Sept. 27, expected to start at 9 a.m. with the closure taking effect at 6 a.m.

A Veterans Day parade is tentatively set to step off at 2 p.m. Nov. 8. The village said the closure time for that event has not been set because organizers are still waiting on a parade permit.
Village officials said the Fun Fair and car show times are also subject to change and that updates will be posted to the village’s Facebook page and its downtown electronic sign as details are confirmed.
Batavia has served as the seat of Clermont County government since 1824, when it was chosen for its site along a fording spot on the East Fork of the Little Miami River. Its compact downtown of 19th-century storefronts, anchored by the county courthouse, is the backdrop for the village’s recurring community events.
Residents who plan to park or drive through downtown Batavia on Sept. 12, Sept. 27 or Nov. 8 should expect detours around the closures, the village said.
