BATAVIA, Ohio — The Clermont County Treasurer’s Office will not mail delinquent tax bills this year because of a late billing of second-half property taxes, and residents who owe back taxes have until 4:30 p.m. Nov. 13 to pay before their names can be published as delinquent.
Because no bills are going out in the mail, property owners are responsible for finding out on their own whether they have a balance due, the office said in a Facebook post. Residents can check at clermontauditor.org or call the Treasurer’s Office at 513-732-7254.
The Clermont County Treasurer’s Office said any payment of delinquent real property taxes received by the Nov. 13 deadline will prevent a taxpayer’s name from being included on the county’s published delinquent tax list; payments received after that time may result in the name being published.
The office is led by Treasurer Jeannie M. Zurmehly, a Batavia High School graduate who earned an accounting degree from the University of Cincinnati Clermont College in 2015. Zurmehly spent a decade on the Treasurer’s Office staff working with delinquent taxpayers before her election as treasurer, taking office in September 2017. She also serves as the county’s chief investment officer and sits on the Clermont County Budget Commission, the County Board of Revision and the Automatic Data Processing Board.
