BATAVIA, Ohio — Sarah Gleason has been named president of the Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau, known as Discover Clermont, after nearly 12 years with the agency, the organization said in a Facebook post.
Gleason had served as the bureau’s interim president since June, according to Discover Clermont, and had previously worked as its director of marketing. She joined the Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau in December 2014 as marketing and communications manager, where she was responsible for creating and maintaining the bureau’s destination marketing plan. Before joining the bureau, she worked in the hospitality industry at the Holiday Inn & Suites Cincinnati-Eastgate and The Golf Club at Stonelick Hills.

As interim president, Gleason worked to strengthen relationships with tourism partners, hoteliers, elected officials, community leaders and industry stakeholders while focusing on growing the county’s visitor economy, according to the bureau.
“I’m incredibly honored to continue serving Clermont County,” Gleason said in a statement released by Discover Clermont. “After nearly 12 years with this organization, I have seen firsthand the incredible impact tourism has on our communities.”
Payal Patel, the bureau’s board president, said in the same statement that “Sarah brings a deep understanding of Clermont County’s tourism industry, and strong relationships throughout our community.”
The Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau, based at 410 East Main St. in Batavia, describes itself as a professional destination marketing and sales organization whose mission is to strengthen the community by generating economic growth through tourism, overnight stays and visitor spending.
