STONELICK TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Stonelick Township’s Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing Nov. 4 on two proposed changes to the township’s zoning code, one covering accessory buildings on residential lots and the other adding new development-submission requirements for the township’s commercial district, according to a notice posted by the township.
The hearing is set for 7 p.m., ahead of the board’s regular monthly trustees meeting, at the Stonelick Township Fire Department, 2541 U.S. 50.
The first proposal, Case 760, would amend Section 22.26 of the township’s zoning resolution, which governs accessory buildings and uses in residential districts. The second, Case 761, would add a new Section 10.9 to Article 10’s rules for the township’s “B” Community Business District, laying out zoning-code classification requirements for development submissions under Section 11.7 of the resolution.
Both amendments were drafted by the township’s Zoning Commission, a citizen panel responsible for proposing changes to the zoning map and resolution before they reach the trustees. Stonelick Township is governed by a three-member, publicly elected Board of Trustees, which oversees road and bridge maintenance, cemeteries, zoning enforcement and fire and emergency services for the largely rural township in central Clermont County.
Under Ohio township zoning procedure, the Zoning Commission reviews and recommends resolution changes, and the Board of Trustees then must hold a public hearing before voting to adopt, reject or modify them. Residents may attend the Nov. 4 hearing to comment on either case before the trustees take action.
