BATAVIA, Ohio — The Village of Batavia will mark the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks with a remembrance ceremony Friday morning, including a flag lowering and a moment of silence, the village said in a Facebook post.

The ceremony is set for 8:46 a.m. — the moment the first hijacked jet struck the World Trade Center’s North Tower in 2001 — in front of the Village Office at 65 N. Second St., known locally as the Armory, according to the village. All are welcome to attend, the village said.
