MILFORD, Ohio — A new one-million-gallon water tower is taking shape on Wallace Avenue, where crews this week readied heavy cranes to hoist the tank’s massive steel top onto its support base.

Members of the Milford Community Fire Department’s Unit 3 crew, led by Lt. Baird, stopped by the site Tuesday evening to check on the project’s progress, the department said in a Facebook post. Cranes were staged on-site, preparing to move the tank section into place.
