BATAVIA, Ohio — Clermont County commissioners are set to award a $3.3 million contract for campus facility improvements and a nearly $390,000 bid for a Wayne Township bridge replacement when they meet Oct. 14, according to a draft agenda posted by the county.
The board’s 11 a.m. regular session opens with a proclamation designating October 2026 as “Disability Employment Awareness Month” in Clermont County, followed by a presentation from Emily Akers, director of the county’s Office of Management and Budget, on 9-1-1 fees, the agenda shows.
Commissioners would award the bid for the Filager Campus Improvements Phase III project to Graybach LLC of Cincinnati for $3,307,036, with Board President Bonnie J. Batchler authorized to execute the contract. Work is to begin after a notice of commencement from the county’s Facilities Management Department and be completed within 420 days, according to the agenda.
The board is also scheduled to award the bid for the Marathon Edenton Road Bridge Replacement project in Wayne Township to JTM Smith Construction Inc. of Fayetteville for $389,694.60, the lowest and best bid received Sept. 17, the agenda said.
Commissioners would enter into an agreement with Nelson Nygaard Consulting Associates Inc. to conduct a transit study for Clermont Transportation Connection at a cost not to exceed $99,991, under an agreement previously procured through the Ohio Department of Transportation, according to the agenda.
Also on the agenda: a $148,073 contract with Clear Consulting Inc. for engineering design on the Beechmont Drive Area Water Main Replacement Project in Union Township, and a resolution to advertise for bids on the Branch Hill Guinea Road Water Main Replacement Project in Miami Township, with a pre-bid meeting set for Nov. 5 and bids due by 2 p.m. Nov. 19, the agenda shows.
Commissioners are also scheduled to adopt a resolution accepting tax rates set by the Clermont County Budget Commission for fiscal year 2027, and to approve a $40,171 funding application from the Young Women’s Christian Association of Greater Cincinnati for House of Peace, a shelter for domestic violence victims.
Other items include acknowledgment of recent appointment actions for Clermont County’s deputy dog wardens and chief dog warden, and the release of maintenance bonds for completed subdivisions in Pierce and Goshen townships and the village of Batavia, according to the agenda.
The meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m. Oct. 14 at the Clermont County Board of Commissioners office, 101 East Main St., Batavia. The agenda is subject to change before the meeting.
