NEW RICHMOND, Ohio — The $13.4 million Liberty Landing riverfront redevelopment is entering its final phase, with crews this week resurfacing a widened Front Street streetscape and installing a new marina along the Ohio River, according to Clermont County.
The project, which broke ground last summer, is expected to be finished this fall. It will extend the existing width of Front Street by about 25 feet to create an elevated streetscape with river overlooks, in addition to the marina, the county said.
The redevelopment sits along the Ohio River in the Village of New Richmond, in the southern part of Clermont County. It is funded through the State of Ohio’s Appalachian Community Grant program, according to the county.
Prus Construction is the general contractor on the project, and KZF Design produced the plans, the county said.
Renderings released by the county last year show a landscaped riverfront corridor with pedestrian overlooks connecting to New Richmond’s historic Front Street business district.
