BATAVIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A drainage improvement project on Amelia-Olive Branch Road has been completed, and the road has reopened to through traffic, Batavia Township announced.
The work had been scheduled to run from Oct. 7 through Oct. 14, with crews operating between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., but finished a day ahead of the projected timeline. The township said in a Facebook post that the road “is now open to through traffic.”

Amelia-Olive Branch Road is one of several township roads where Batavia Township has carried out ditch and culvert work in recent months as part of routine drainage maintenance. The improvements are intended to reduce standing water and erosion along the roadway shoulder.
Batavia Township is governed by a three-member Board of Trustees — Randy Perry, Rex Parsons and Danielle Wessel — along with Fiscal Officer Jennifer Haley. The township was Clermont County’s fastest-growing township between 2010 and 2020 and had a population of about 27,660 as of the 2020 census, making it the county’s third-largest township.
