MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Residents near the 400 block of Wards Corner Road should expect to see a heavy police presence over the next several days as Miami Township police run an emergency preparedness training exercise, according to a notice shared by the Clermont County Engineer’s Office.

“Periodically, there will be an increased number of police vehicles and police officers present,” the notice said, adding that the training poses no threat to the public. The exercise is expected to run for about 10 days from its Oct. 15 start, meaning through roughly late October.

The notice did not specify the type of scenario officers will be training for, but agencies typically use multi-day emergency preparedness drills to rehearse coordinated responses among patrol officers, supervisors and outside agencies without disrupting day-to-day operations.
