MILFORD, Ohio — The city has shut down the splash pad at Five Points Landing Park for repairs, with no timetable yet for when it will reopen.

The city said in a Facebook post that “unforeseen circumstances” prompted the closure and apologized for the inconvenience, adding that it “look[s] forward to rectifying the situation.” Officials did not describe what went wrong with the equipment.

The water feature, which the city’s parks department calls its splash fountain, sits at Five Points Landing Park, 527 Lila Ave. It is normally sensor-activated and runs from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, with lights and a continuous fountain display from 9 to 10 p.m. each evening, according to the city. The park is also home to Milford’s dog park.
