BATAVIA, Ohio — A Casey’s convenience store and gas station is set to open in the Village of Batavia, with the Clermont Chamber of Commerce hosting a ribbon cutting next month to mark the occasion.
The ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at the new store, 601 W. Main St., just off State Route 32, according to the village. An open house will follow from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Village of Batavia Mayor Steve Staton is expected to attend to welcome the business, the village said in a social media post. The village described Casey’s as its newest business, saying the store will bring new jobs and added convenience to the community.
Staton took office as Batavia’s mayor in late September, succeeding longtime Mayor C. Scott Runck, who retired after nearly three decades in village government. Before becoming mayor, Staton spent more than 18 years in local public service, including time on the Batavia Local School Board, the Great Oaks Career Campuses board and Batavia Village Council. His term runs through the end of 2027.
Batavia, the Clermont County seat, has added several new businesses along its commercial corridors in recent years, with the Chamber of Commerce regularly organizing ribbon cuttings to mark openings and expansions throughout the county.
Casey’s, headquartered in Ankeny, Iowa, operates nearly 3,000 convenience stores across the Midwest and South, including locations throughout Ohio. The chain is known for combining fuel sales with made-to-order food service, including its own pizza and bakery items.
The Clermont Chamber of Commerce can be reached at 513-576-5013 for questions about the event.
