MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Miami Township will partner with the Clermont County Animal Shelter for a dog adoption event Saturday at Bark Park at Miami Meadows, giving residents a chance to meet adoptable dogs and potentially take one home.
The event runs from noon to 3 p.m. at the fenced dog park on Ohio 131, township officials said in a Facebook post. Because of the event, both the small- and large-dog sections of Bark Park will be closed to regular visitors during that time, the township said.

Bark Park at Miami Meadows is a roughly 2-acre fenced dog park within Miami Meadows Park, the approximately 200-acre centerpiece of Miami Township’s five-park system, which also includes multipurpose athletic fields, walking trails, a playground and picnic shelters.
The Clermont County Animal Shelter, a no-kill facility that houses stray, lost and neglected dogs, is located at 4025 Filager Road in Batavia. The shelter is normally open Tuesday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to the shelter.
