GOSHEN, Ohio — Marr/Cook Elementary School will host a popsicle social for incoming kindergarten students and their families on the playground next week, giving families a chance to meet school leaders before the new year begins.
The event, organized by the Goshen Parent Teacher Organization, is set for Aug. 5 from 5 to 6 p.m. on the Marr/Cook playground, the school said in a Facebook post. Families are invited to stop by for a popsicle and to meet Principal Stevens and Assistant Principal Huber ahead of the school year, according to the post.
Marr/Cook Elementary serves preschool through second grade students and is one of three elementary schools in Goshen Local School District, which enrolls roughly 2,700 students across four buildings in Clermont County, according to district and public enrollment records.
The popsicle social falls about a week before Marr/Cook’s back-to-school open house, scheduled for Aug. 12, and more than a week ahead of the first day of school for grades 1-12 on Aug. 13, according to the district’s 2026-27 calendar approved by the Goshen Board of Education.
