GOSHEN, Ohio — Goshen Local Schools is moving the staging area for this year’s Homecoming parade from Spaulding Elementary School to Goshen High School, a change that will also shift the parade’s route through the community, the district said in a Facebook post.
The parade is set for Friday, Oct. 2, at 5:30 p.m. The district said the parade has outgrown its longtime staging area at Spaulding Elementary. Starting this year, floats will line up at Goshen High School instead, entering the campus only at the water tower entrance off Goshen Road before staging in designated areas for youth groups, business and community groups, and school organizations, according to a lineup map the district shared.

Because floats will now stage at the high school, the parade will both begin and end there, the district said. According to a route map the district posted, the parade will travel out Warrior Trail to Goshen Road, north on Goshen Road, west onto state Route 28, north on Linton Road and back down Warrior Trail to finish at the high school.

Goshen High School, at 6707 Goshen Road, is the district’s only high school and home to roughly 800 students in grades 9-12. The school’s teams compete as the Warriors in scarlet and gray. Goshen Local Schools serves about 3,000 students in kindergarten through 12th grade across Goshen Township in Clermont County.
The district said additional Homecoming details, including the week’s full schedule of events, are posted on its “HoCo Hub” webpage.
