MILFORD, Ohio — The Milford Community Fire Department’s 1945 Seagrave fire truck is back in top shape after preventive maintenance completed by Sora’s Towing, Inc., ahead of the historic pumper’s expected role in the city’s holiday season festivities next month, the department said in a Facebook post.
The department thanked Sora’s Towing for servicing what it called the community’s “beloved” antique fire truck. The 1945 Seagrave remains part of the department’s official apparatus roster alongside its modern engines, a ladder truck and medic units, according to the department’s website.

The timing points to Hometown for the Holidays, the annual two-day celebration in historic downtown Milford organized by the Historic Milford Association. This year’s event runs Nov. 27-28, and its published schedule lists free antique fire engine rides courtesy of the fire department from noon to 4 p.m. both days, along with carriage rides, visits with Santa at Kirk & Company Jewelers, strolling carolers and a tree-lighting ceremony at Five Points Landing Park on Nov. 27.
