MONROE TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Crews will pave five roads in Monroe Township on Thursday and Friday, July 30 and 31, according to the township.
The work will affect East Garrison Road, Brooking Road, South Dunham Road, Shirley Drive and Idlett Hill Road, the township said in a Facebook post.
Monroe Township sits in southwestern Clermont County along the Ohio River and had a population of about 7,531 residents as of the 2020 census, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The township covers roughly 31.7 square miles and contains no incorporated municipalities, though it includes the unincorporated communities of Point Pleasant, Nicholsville and Laurel. Point Pleasant is the birthplace of President Ulysses S. Grant.
The township’s maintenance department is responsible for repairing and servicing township roads, according to the township’s website. Drivers should expect delays and use caution in the affected areas while paving is underway.
